In order to improve gas safety in older-age communities, in 2020 the community cooperated with technology companies to install smart alarms for 1,000 residents in its jurisdiction. The initiative paved the way for the integration of gas leak alarms, the provision of information to concerned relatives, as well as the circulation of community information.

In another initiative, it is understood that the community has also built a canteen for the elderly.

The population of senior citizens in the community has reportedly reached more than 21 percent and the canteen offers three meals a day, priced at 5 yuan (77 cents) per meal, to ensure the quality of life of its elderly residents.
