China-Northeast Asia Expo to open in August in a boost for regional cooperation

The 13th China-Northeast Asia Expo is scheduled to take place in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, on Aug 27-31, and will serve as a platform for countries in Northeast Asia to build consensus and enhance cooperation, according to a press conference held on May 25.

The five-day event will see seven themed pavilions set up, covering an area of 70,000 square meters, including the Science and Technology Innovation Pavilion and the Automobile Pavilion.

The Science and Technology Innovation Pavilion will focus on leading industries such as rail transit equipment manufacturing and the deep processing of agricultural products in Jilin province, plus emerging industries such as general aviation, satellite technology, new energy, and new materials.

The Automobile Pavilion will focus on displaying new products, new technologies and new concepts, such as the latest vehicles and key components developed by China FAW Group's independent brands and joint venture brands. It will highlight the special status of the automobile industry as a leading and pillar industry in Jilin.

The Northeast Asia National Pavilion will mainly display products with national characteristics from six countries in Northeast Asia.

The Jilin Pavilion will explore the development of the industrial layout of Jilin province, showing the development results of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries and explaining the province's development planning during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25). It will focus on displaying Jilin's characteristic food industry, its ice and snow industry, as well as its high-quality resources and brands.
