The 2nd Global Summit on Manufacturing Services Outsourcing opened on Oct 15 in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province.

The ongoing summit is discussing new modes for the integrated development of the manufacturing and services industry.

With its theme of "service enhances intelligent manufacturing, outsourcing to realize global win-win cooperation", the summit has attracted the participation of more than 300 domestic and foreign experts, academics and entrepreneurs.

At the opening ceremony, a report on 2020 China manufacturing services outsourcing development -- and the Changchun national regional innovation center core area development strategic plan -- were released.

The parties concerned signed a cooperation agreement on promoting a pilot project, to deepen innovation in manufacturing services in Changchun and for its development.

They also signed a general cooperation agreement on a strategic alliance for the high-quality development of the core area of the Changchun national regional innovation center and also six project cooperation agreements.

After the opening ceremony on Oct 15, a main forum and three parallel sub-forums were held in succession.

Experts, scholars and industry leaders from home and abroad gathered to discuss general trends in the intelligent, digital and service-oriented development of the manufacturing industry.

They discussed opening-up and cooperation modes for manufacturing services outsourcing. They also shared insights into business opportunities presented by the deep integration of the advanced manufacturing industry and modern services industry.

In addition, investment cooperation talks were held on the opening day of the summit.

Enterprises with investment and cooperation ambitions at home and abroad held in-depth discussions on areas of potential cooperation with the Jilin provincial government.

They also talked with the Changchun municipal government, the Changchun New Area management committee, the Changchun High-tech Industrial Development Zone management committee and with local businesses.
