As the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday fast approaches, Northeast China's Jilin province has increased its supplies of themed tourism products -- and boosted its culture and tourism activities -- to help give visitors a great time, according to local media reports.

In a bid to help stimulate supply and demand in the culture and tourism market, the Jilin provincial government has raised 10 million yuan ($1.47 million) and all cities and prefectures prepared 20 million yuan for issuing relevant coupons and vouchers. The subsidies will go to the purchase of tourism packages for visitors in the province.

In addition, various discounts will be given to tourists outside the province and culture and tourism enterprises.

At the same time, tourist attractions in the province are being encouraged to lure visitors by cutting prices and staging festival activities.

According to the actual flows of visitors to the attractions, the government will give a total of 3 million yuan as a reward to attractions.

Relying on its own consumer culture and tourism platform, Jilin has launched fall tour products and promotion campaigns on many online travel agency platforms in China.

It has launched five new themed self-driving tour products and six hot fall touring destinations, among other things, to meet the needs of different tourists.

Through various themed activities, Jilin launched a campaign for the different media outlets to showcase its golden autumn scenery.

At the same time, Jilin tourism-related topics have been opened on various media platforms to attract people's participation.

More than 100 tourism-related festivals, folk culture exhibitions and shows -- with the theme "enjoy the golden autumn" -- have started to be staged throughout the province from mid-September and will last until mid-October.

In addition, culture and tourism-related units, scenic spots and businesses in the province have launched their own fall tourism activities, to attract more visitors.
