A forum on expanding the development of the livestreaming industry in Northeast China's Jilin province took place on Sept 13 in its capital city of Changchun, according to local media reports.

The industry leaders and guests attending the forum discussed the new strategy for Jilin's all-round revitalization and deepening counterpart cooperation between Jilin and Zhejiang provinces.

And a round table conference was held to discuss the practical development path for the livestreaming economy.

The booming livestreaming economy had directly led to a sudden increase in demand for employment. So, a total 22 businesses based in Jilin had also been recognized as a "digital economy talent training base" for training and developing top livestreaming talents.

In order to strengthen cooperation in an all-round way, a signing ceremony was held at the forum and several projects were signed.

Many businesses took the forum as an opportunity to jointly sign contracts to jointly develop the e-commerce livestreaming economy in the future.

The livestreaming industry is growing fast, helped along by changes to online formats caused by the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Consumer habits have changed and more merchandise sales have transferred to the online market, so that the livestreaming economy is now in full swing.
