To help villagers become more prosperous, Yantongshan town has actively promoted the construction of grape plantation. It has established an agricultural company and allowed 46 administrative villages to take shares in the venture, helping them obtain loans for its initial development.

At the same time, by using the support funds from higher authorities and some of the village collective economies, a total of 147 grape greenhouses were built to plant grapes to provide employment opportunities for farmers.

At present, the grape planting greenhouses in the town cover 470 mu (31.33 hectares) -- including 110 mu of greenhouses for reducing poverty via industrial development.

Local officials said the town has gradually developed its own distinctive industry with the Jinhongwa grape variety brand, further strengthening the village collective economy and boosting farmers' incomes.
