To boost graduates employment and attract more top talents to relocate and work there, the talent service center in Changchun -- capital of Northeast China's Jilin province -- held its first promotional livestreaming event on jobs on Aug 18, according to local media reports.

Local officials said during the livestreaming, staff members from municipal departments answered over 100 questions on the activity and on policies and measures to attract graduates to come to Changchun, as well as the overall employment situation for graduates in the city.

At the same time, an offline jobs fair was also held at the center in conjunction with the livestreaming, attracting more than 100 well-known enterprises to attend, with 3,691 top positions on offer to job seekers.

Officials said preliminary employment intentions were achieved for 1,033 jobs and the hiring rate at the event reached 28 percent.

Livestreaming anchors also introduced local job positions to job seekers who couldn't attend in person through the online platform. They provided application guidance and introduced key local firms, so as to help businesses and talent achieve common ground in the matchmaking of supply and demand.

Local officials added that within the one-hour session, a total of 8,254 graduates and their parents viewed the online event and over 1,000 people were admitted to the physical jobs fair at the center.

The livestreaming employment promotion will last until the end of the year and plans are to hold eight activities.

The content will cover online cloud recruitment for graduates, graduate entrepreneurship and related municipal policies, an introduction of key enterprises as well as employment internship policies and other subjects.
