Boasting rich cultural resources, Jilin province in northeastern China has been given many accolades: is often hailed as a hometown of Chinese folk culture and art, of Chinese modern folk painting, and as “the hometown of Chinese Songhua inkstones”.

The Changchun Film Studio is the cradle of Chinese films. It has produced a large number of outstanding classic films and has cultivated generations of famous film artists.

Jilin province now has 79 cultural centers -- including public art museums -- and 40 art performance groups, 66 public libraries and 107 museums. Each year, around 11.19 million people visit museums in Jilin.

It currently has one national cultural industry park, eight cultural industry demonstration bases, and nine key provincial cultural industry parks.

Films, songs and dance and animations are featured Jilin characteristics. The province's cultural industry is bursting with unprecedented vitality and is becoming a new growth point for Jilin's economy.
