The 12th China-Northeast Asia Expo will focus on further opening-up and strengthening cooperation among countries in Northeast Asia, according to a news conference held by the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing, on July 22.

The catchphrase for the event is “Enhancing mutual trust and cooperation to create better prospects for Northeast China”. It will be held in Changchun, capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province, from Aug 23 to 27.

This year’s expo will be better than previous ones in a number of ways.

First, this year’s expo will be larger and more influential. The 10th High-Level Forum on Northeast Asia Cooperation will be held during the expo, wherein national leaders and top business officials from Northeast Asian and other countries and regions will discuss cooperation. It will also have exhibition areas for imported commodities, showcasing products from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, North America, and more.

Second, the latest technology will be showcased at this year’s expo. A 5G-themed pavilion will make its debut with industry leaders from all over the world, including Huawei, ZTE, FAW, and Nokia, displaying cutting-edge technology related to Internet of Things, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the latest 5G-related achievements and applications.

In addition, this year’s expo will focus on opening-up and cooperation between countries in Northeast Asia. A large number of technologically innovative companies from Japan and South Korea will showcase their cutting-edge achievements in areas like Internet of Things, AR, VR, healthcare equipment, and new materials.

The 4th World Jilin Entrepreneurs Convention, the Summit for China - Japan- ROK Entrepreneurs, and the 1st Northeast Asia E-Commerce Summit will also be held during the expo to help boost the economic revitalization of Jilin province.
