The second session of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, on Jan 25.

Around 460 CPPCC members were present at the opening ceremony, traveling in from across the province.

They listened as the annual work report was delivered by Jiang Zelin, chairman of the CPPCC Jilin Committee.

Attendees present at the opening ceremony included Bayanqolu, Party chief of Jilin province, and Jing Junhai, governor of the province.

The Jilin provincial CPPCC members will debate the work of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Jilin Committee and make suggestions for deliberations during the five-day session.
