Co-sponsored by the Information Office of the People's Government of Jilin Province and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ireland, the media tour aims to further promote Jilin province's participation in areas involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Reporters and photographers from several mainstream Chinese media based in Ireland were invited to experience Jilin's beautiful scenery and learn about its achievements over the past few years.

Their first stop was the CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co, a subsidiary of China Railway Rolling Stock Corp. The Fuxing bullet train - a product of China's completely independent intellectual property - astonished the media group, as the train integrates various forms of cutting-edge technology.

"The high-speed railway sheds light on China's rapid development," said Liu Wenwei, head of the media group. "We will try our best to promote future cooperation between China and the European countries."
