Deputy Qin He shared her views on training teachers to improve education quality in rural areas at the Jilin deputies' panel meeting on March 12.

Qin is head of Jilin Huaqiao University of Foreign Languages. She said the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has focused on education for the past five years.

She said education is the main way to cultivating talents who can contribute to the revitalization of Jilin province’s rural areas.

Qin suggested that "Better rural education can help improve agricultural industries as the educated talents are able to use innovative technology to construct modern villages."

"Teachers play important roles in rural education. We should develop a professional rural teacher team and good education available for children in their hometowns," Qin added.
