During the two sessions, CPPCC member Wang Xin suggested the central government to offer financial support to Jilin province's agricultural industries and cooperation with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Wang is chairman of Changchun Hongda Group, a Changchun-based high-tech enterprise focusing on information technology development.

He said "The Belt and Road Initiative brings tremendous opportunities to the province, and the local enterprises should seize the chances and keep up with the pace of the nation's economic growth".

Jilin has a relatively wide range of industry sectors and Wang expressed his confidence that the province can play a promising role in promoting advanced agricultural technology and cooperating with countries involved in the Initiative.

In addition, Jilin province also plays an important role in transferring technologies used in the power plants construction, power-generating devices and the electric power transmission lines among all these countries.

In regards to industrial transformation and upgrading, Wang said the high-quality enterprises must be vibrant and its staff members should have innovative and creative minds.

Furthermore, the companies must be able to adapt to the market and their products must be competitive.

He added that good cash flow, an excellent R&D team, well-deserved market reputation as well as visionary business leaders who chart the course for the business development also play important roles in shaping the high-quality enterprises.

Wang said that he is confident in Jilin's business environment.

The local government is also stepping up efforts in improving the business environment for small and medium-sized high-tech enterprises which are favored with unprecedented opportunities such as fast and simple application procedures for business licenses, a series of favorable financial policies as well as the tax cuts for small and medium-sized enterprises.
