In the next five years, Jilin province will focus on socioeconomic development, advantageous resources promotion and innovation and entrepreneurship, said Jiang Zelin, chairman of the Jilin Provincial CPPCC on March 7.

The Government Work Report 2018 refers to village revitalization with Chinese characteristics and establishes that to realize the goal promotion of industrial ecology and industrial- economic integration are must-dos.

Jiang said the Jilin government will promote integration of primary, secondary and third industries and create more employment for farmers by expanding agricultural chains.

Making full use of the rich natural resources in the province and producing high-quality farming products to meet people's needs are also vital to promote a positive development of economy and ecology.

Jilin is one of the 13 largest grain output areas in China. Jiang said the province will improve farming subsidy policies and increase investment in agricultural infrastructure to turn resource advantages into economic growth.
