Jilin province's ice and snow resources are becoming a unique industrial advantage and will drive the growth of tourism development in the province, according to CPPCC member Yang Andi.

Yang is the director of the Jilin Province Tourism and Development Commission. She said the province has rich natural resources and history.

According to official statistics, in recent years the province's tourism income has been increasing by 20 percent per year and has driven other industries involved in tourism chains.

Yan added that the fact that the province's tourism industry is still in its primary stage means that it has great potential.

She said the local government will ensure the tourism industry contributes to the revitalization of the province.
