Being an old industrial based province, in recent years, Jilin has promoted itself to and connected with the world, deputy Bayin Chaolu, provincial Party secretary, said at the open day of Jilin delegate's meeting on March 6.

He introduced the province's basic international trade situation. Most ports and international railways recorded an increase in import and export volume in 2017 and 64 countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative have signed cooperation agreements with the province.

Several zones were also been built to encourage international trade, including Changchun New Area, Hunchun International Cooperation Demonstration Zone and Changchun Xinglong Free Trade Zone.

Enterprises also built new branches and bases to increase manufacturing products exports.

FAW Group established 13 manufacturing bases in several countries and regions including some South African countries and Kazakhstan.

CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles implemented the subway train programs in 39 countries including Australia, the US and Thailand.

The Party secretary said "Jilin province has stepped on the world stage and become a world focus." He said the province has become an important trade zone in cooperating with countries north to China.

He finally said that the province will seize its opportunity and develop its innovation to realize its revitalization in the New Era.
