CPPCC member Song Zhiping shared her views on revitalizing Jilin province by encouraging Jilin merchants to return and develop manufacturing on March 3.

Song is the chairman of Connell Chemical, a medical company in Jilin province. Her company was established and operates in Jilin province.

Being an entrepreneur, Song said companies should update the ordinary products to advanced ones.

"China should develop advanced industrial chains and encourage companies to develop high-end products," Song added. "Advanced manufacturing and products are key to our country's rapid development."

Song's company is now undergoing a new program which may be a chemical industrial chain that can be a driving force to all related industries.

She also stressed that it is important to attract Jilin merchants to return and invest in the province.

The Jilin government is currently focussing on supporting entrepreneurs by improving service and creating a better entrepreneurial environment.

"Take our company for example. In the past 20 years, we produced medicines and worked on some chemical programs. Government departments such as the Environmental Protection Bureau and Development and Reform Commission had supported us in all aspects," Song explained.

Meanwhile, she called on the entrepreneurs to start business and investors to invest in Jilin province and contribute to the revitalization of the province.
