Beijing entrepreneurial managers expressed their eagerness to support Jilin province in manufacturing, financing and modern agriculture and environmental protection at a cooperation seminar for the city and province's enterprises on March 1.

Zhang Gongyan, general manager of Shougang Group, said the company has had an enduring cooperation with FAW Group since 2008.

Being an old industrial company, Shougang Group had gone through industrial transformation.

The company plans to support Jilin province's industrial transformation by upgrading its own experience and reach a win-win outcome.

Besides manufacturing, Jilin province's agricultural products -- especially Jilin rice -- were also a hot topic at the seminar.

Chairman of Beijing Capital Agri-business Group (CAG) Wang Guofeng said agricultural enterprises in Beijing have been trading with Jilin rice companies since 2008.

For example, Beijing Grain Group had constructed an unprocessed grain support base in Yushu, Jilin province.

As of now, 18 brands of Jilin rice are on sale in more than 2,000 shops in Beijing.

More cooperation such as developing large scale farming and building a farming production base in the province has been put on the agenda for 2018.

The base will benefit by construction of a full industrial chain which covers multiple cities and provinces along the Beijing-Harbin, Beijing-Chengde and Changchun-Shenzhen Expressways.

Changchun Beihu Technology Park, a cooperative program by the Jilin and Beijing government, is now under construction under the control of Beijing Science and Technology Park Construction Group.

Zhao Zhixiong, general manager of the Group, predicted that more than 500 enterprises will settle in the park in three to five years and the annual output will reach 15 billion yuan.

Furthermore, the park will create over 20,000 positions for mid-senior talents.

Environmental protection is always a topic when talking about Jilin province, and so it was at this seminar.

OriginWater Group established Northeast China's first recycled water platform in 2013.

"We hope to protect the natural resources in Jilin province via our innovative technology and protection module," Wen Jianping, chairman of the company said.

In the past five years, the company has invested 10 billion yuan in Changchun, Jilin, Yanji, Siping, Songyuan, Baishan, Tonghua and the Changbai Mountain area and provided nearly 200 million tons of high-quality recycled water to these cities per year.

Wen said he looked forward to cooperation with local departments and to helping improve Jilin's water quality.

He also suggested that local government departments could cooperate with the company in many other aspects like light environment monitoring, intelligent water supervision and ecological agriculture construction.
