The first session of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded on Jan 30 in Changchun, Jilin province.

The session used a secret ballot to select the leadership of the 12th committee of the CPPCC. Jiang Zelin was appointed as chairman of the 12th CPPCC of Jilin province, and Xue Kang, Zhi Jianhua, Li Longxi, Zhang Bojun, Li Jinxiu, Zhao Xiaojun and Cao Yuguang were appointed as vice presidents. Xiao Mowen was selected to be the secretary general, while Ding Xizhong and 90 others were elected to the standing committee.

At the session the 12th provincial committee considered and adopted resolutions.

Jiang, the newly elected chairman, hosted the session and delivered a closing speech.

The secretary of the CPC Jilin provincial party committee, Baoyin Chaolu, deputy secretary of the CPC Jilin provincial party committee Jing Junhai, members of the national committee of the CPPCC in Jilin and officials from provincial government departments attended the closing session.
