Jilin province's Party Secretary Bayin Chaolu stressed that green development and security are the base line for both economic growth and industrial promotion at a panel session of Jilin's two sessions.

Bayin met with deputies to the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture's panel session on Jan 27.

He affirmed Yanbian's achievements in industrial transformation, economic growth and poverty alleviation and pointed out that 2018 is a key year for promotion of the province's economy.

He also said that ecological construction and pollution reduction should be a premise of industrial transformation and upgrading.

Finally, more international cooperation must be encouraged and innovative technology should be adopted to help keep society safe.
