The 12th Jilin Committee of the CPPCC opened on Jan 25 in Changchun, capital of Jilin province. Jiang Zelin, Party secretary of the CPPCC Jilin Provincial Committee, chaired the opening session.

There were 474 members in attendance. They are expected to submit development proposals and participate in group discussions and meetings during the sessions.

Also present at the opening ceremony were the provincial Party secretary, Bayin Chaolu; Jing Junhai, acting governor of Jilin province; and other officials.
