Piao Huishan, a member of the National committee of CPPCC from Jilin province, submitted her proposal for adding a new station to Longjia Town, Changchun City in Jilin province, for the Jilin-Hunchun railway.

Jilin-Hunchun special railway opened in September 2015. The train departs from Jilin City and makes calls at Jiaohe, Dunhua, Antu, Yanji, Tumen, and finally terminates in Hunchun, which has brought great convenience for people living and travelling in cities along the railroad.

However, the trains running on the special railway never stop at the Changchun Longjia International Airport -- one of the most significant transportation hubs in Northeast China.

Piao explained that more and more people travel in Jilin province by plane but there are few trains to other cities that stop at the airport. Tourists have to take buses to Changchun and then transfer to other places, which wastes time.

Therefore, Piao suggested adding a stop at the airport for the Jilin-Hunchun special line to make it easier for visitors travelling in the province, which at the same time can attract more people to tour in Jilin.
